The Integrated Program in Management (IPM)
Launched in 2011, the IPM program is a dual degree program (BA + MBA) aimed at students who have passed out of class 12. The program is specifically designed to shape young minds into outstanding leaders by exposing them to a diverse range of subjects before core management training.
Program Structure
First 3 Years (Foundation)
Focuses on building a foundation in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Psychology, Sociology, and Political Science. The goal is holistic intellectual growth.
Last 2 Years (Core Management)
IPM students merge with the regular CAT-admitted PGP (MBA) batch and undergo rigorous training in Finance, Marketing, HR, and Operations.
The IPMAT Indore Examination
Cracking IIM Indore requires passing its highly competitive entrance test followed by a Personal Interview.
1. Quantitative Aptitude (SA)
15 Questions | 40 Minutes
Short Answer type questions with no negative marking. Tests core mathematical concepts like Algebra, Arithmetic, and Geometry heavily.
2. Quantitative Aptitude (MCQ)
30 Questions | 40 Minutes
Multiple choice questions testing higher math (Probability, Matrices, Determinants, Calculus variations) and Data Interpretation.
3. Verbal Ability (MCQ)
45 Questions | 40 Minutes
Tests Reading Comprehension, Vocabulary, Grammar, and Paragraph Jumbles at a level close to the CAT exam.
Final Selection Criteria
IPMAT Score (Aptitude Test): 65% Weightage • Personal Interview (PI): 35% Weightage
